Decrease in Kovid cases, recovery and death toll in Nagpur increased for the third day. Nagpur News – Times of India

Nagpur: More than new recovery reported in Vidarbha for the third consecutive day cases Kovid-19 on Saturday. the Daily toll It remained in double digits on Saturday when 18 people died in the region. Most of the deaths are accidental findings of COVID-19.
There were 10 deaths in Nagpur, out of which six were from Nagpur city, three from Nagpur Rural and 1 from other state/region. The number of tests remained around 25,000.

Nagpur was the biggest contributor to Vidarbha’s daily caseload. On Saturday, out of 10,558 tests, 2,876 new cases were reported in the district, which means that the test positivity is gradually decreasing.
As far as Vidarbha is concerned, the overall test positivity came down to below 25% on Saturday. Last week, the positivity had touched 33 per cent. A drop in test positivity is a strong indicator of the wave going down.
The overall recovery rate improved to 94.4% on Saturday. The number has come down to 47,708 from over 52,000 patients under treatment two days ago.
Experts have already predicted that the curve will descend sharply in the current wave. Hence, many good developments can be expected next week.
Akola: Out of 784 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, 192 came positive on Saturday, taking the caseload to 63,849. A record 428 patients were cured in a single day, taking the total number to 60,853. A 59-year-old man from Akola city died on Saturday. He was admitted on 22 January. Now the toll has increased to 1,152. Now 1,844 patients are undergoing treatment.
Washim: On Saturday, 221 new cases were reported and 346 were cured. The heart patient, an unrelated person, died on Saturday. This is the district’s first death in the third wave. The caseload stands at 44,066, including 42,260 recoveries and 640 deaths. At present, 1,166 patients are undergoing treatment.
Buldhana: Out of 2,388 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, 507 came positive, while 322 patients were cured in a day. On Saturday, Buldhana was the only district in Vidarbha to report more new cases than recoveries. Now, 2,485 patients are under treatment in the district.
Gadchiroli: Out of 904 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, 268 new cases were reported. The caseload has reached 34,485. On the other hand, 374 patients were cured, taking the total to 32,497. Two deaths were reported on Saturday, taking the death toll to 755. 1,233 patients are under treatment.
Gondia: 180 new cases were reported in the day and 354 were cured. The case count is 45,048, which includes 42872 recoveries. Of the 1,456 patients under treatment, 1,419 are in home isolation.
Bhandara: After 2,187 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, 403 new cases were reported. One death was reported for the second day in a row, taking the toll to 1,138. After 402 recoveries on Saturday, 2,311 patients are undergoing treatment.
Yavatmal: During the last 24 hours, 288 new positive patients have been reported in the district, while the death toll is 1,791. At present, there are 1,995 active positive patients, out of which 60 are in hospital isolation and 1,935 are in home quarantine. The administration received 1,223 test reports of which 96 are women and 192 are men. Out of 77,154 positive patients found so far, 73,368 have been cured including 303 on Saturday. The test positivity rate is 9.44%, the mortality rate is 2.32% and the daily positivity rate is 23.55%. 1,705 beds are available in the district covid Patient.
Chandrapur: There was a significant increase in the number of people recovering in comparison to the infection in the district. On Saturday, 790 recovered against the detection of 392, leaving 3,286 patients under treatment. With no casualties, the toll held steady at 1,550. During the last 24 hours, 1,454 COVID tests were conducted. The caseload has risen to 97,129 while the total recoveries have gone up to 92,293. A total of 8,42,787 samples have been tested, of which 7,44,165 have been found negative.
Wardha: The district on Saturday reported two deaths, 465 new positive cases and 557 recoveries, taking the caseload to 55,460, total recoveries to 51,332 and the toll to 1,335, taking 2,839 active positive patients under treatment. A total of 1,538 test reports were received, while the total reports received so far is 5,02,895.
Amaravati: A spike of one death and 343 new cases took the district’s toll to 1,580 and the caseload to 1,03,430 respectively on Saturday. The number of 611 recoveries took the total to 98,869 at a rate of 95.59, leaving 2,949 active cases under treatment.
