Death on the Nile: Gal Gadot-Ali Fazal starrer gets India release date, find out

Death on the Nile starring Gal Gadot, Ali Fazal and Kenneth Branagh gets a release date in India. The makers have announced the international film, which also stars Armie Hammer, Margot Robbie, Tom Bateman, Letitia Wright, Annette Bening, Russell Brand and Rosie Leslie, is set to release in India on February 11.

Fazal confirmed the release date with a post on Instagram. She shared a glimpse of her character, ‘cousin’ Andrew Kachdorain, in the much-anticipated thriller based on Agatha Christie’s novel, coinciding with the India release date.

The video provides a brief history of Andrew, who has been described as a “slippery fish”. Fazal then explains how he is connected to Gal Gadot’s character Lynette. Snippets of Fazal are shown from the film while Fazal’s Andrew says that he has known Lynette since they were children. Fazal shared the video with the caption: “Keep your friends close. See me as The Cousin in #DeathOnTheNile exclusively in theaters February 11. @deathonthenile @20th Centurystudios @20th Centuryin.”

Fans were excited to see their favorite actor in the new project as well. “Guddu pandit waaay rahe hai (Guddu pandit is back from Mirzapur!)” commented one user, while another said, “Yeah, now we are talking!”

Death on the Nile is based on the 1937 novel by Agatha Christie. The mystery-thriller revolves around the emotional instability and fatal consequences of obsessive love. The story follows a happy couple on their honeymoon on a cruise ship. But once there’s a kill on board, things go wrong. The film will unravel the mystery of the murderer. The film has been shot in beautiful locations like the Giza Pyramids and the sandy desert landscape.

The film is written for the screen by Michael Green and produced by Ridley Scott, Kenneth Branagh, Judy Hoflund and Kevin J. Walsh, with executive producers Mark Gordon, Simon Kinberg, Matthew Jenkins, James Prichard and Matthew Prichard.
