Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first against Delhi Capitals in their IPL 2023 match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
While DC are out of contention for the playoffs, a win for CSK will ensure them a place in the next round. However, a defeat would leave them praying that either Mumbai Indians lose to Sunrisers Hyderabad or Royal Challengers Bangalore lose to Gujarat Titans.

CSK are unchanged for the match but DC have made a few changes.
Dhoni said during the toss, “We are playing the same XI, it is balanced and there is no need to make much changes.”
He said, “It is a one-day game, as the match progresses the pitch will also slow down, which is why we wanted to bat first. In a tournament like this, we will have good and bad games, from every game There is a need to learn and that is what I want the young players in the team to learn.”
Lalit Yadav and Chetan Sakaria have been included for DC while Ishant Sharma has been benched.
“It’s about consistency, we haven’t settled in home conditions but today is another chance. Match-up works – we have to start fresh here after that great win in Dharamsala,” Warner said at the toss. Said.

CSK are currently second in the standings and ahead of Lucknow Supergiants despite being level on points due to better net run rate.
On the other hand, DC is currently at the ninth position in the table with 10 points.
