Chennai Super Kings batsman Ambati Rayudu shared a heartwarming post on Instagram in which his elder daughter can be seen holding the newborn.

Chennai Super Kings batsman Ambati Rayudu and his wife Chennupalli Vidya recently welcomed their second child. Rayudu announced the news to the world through a heartwarming post on Instagram. In the post, Rayudu’s elder daughter can be seen holding the newborn baby. “Daughters are a true blessing,” the former India batsman captioned the post.

Fans have showered their love on the newborn under the post and have congratulated the couple. One user wrote, “Congratulations to all of you! They are beautiful little girls!

Rayudu’s former Chennai teammate Krishnappa Gautam also congratulated the pair.

Rayudu has been instrumental in the success of Chennai Super Kings over the years. However, the veteran batsman has struggled to get going in the ongoing edition of the tournament. Rayudu has scored just 122 runs in 10 innings this season at a strike rate of 127.08. Rayudu was dismissed for 4 by Sunil Narine in CSK’s last match against Kolkata Knight Riders. Chennai lost the match by six wickets.

MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings would have become the first team to book a place in the playoffs if they had won Sunday’s game. However, Kolkata had other ideas as they edged out CSK at the MA Chidambaram Stadium to keep their hopes of playoff qualification alive.

In the first innings, Kolkata’s spin duo of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy restricted the Chennai batsmen from displaying their usual exploits. The likes of Rayudu and Ravindra Jadeja could not get going and Chennai managed to score 144 runs in their quota of 20 overs. With dew, Kolkata appear to be favorites to cross Chennai’s target. The match looked spectacular when Deepak Chahar destroyed the Kolkata top order in the powerplay. But KKR eventually won the match with six wickets and nine balls in the bank, courtesy a brilliant innings from Nitish Rana.
