The Kannada film Kaatera, featuring Darshan and Aradhana Ram, was released in December 2023, marking itself to be a hit in the industry. The action-drama film was helmed by Tharun Sudhir and produced by Rockline Venkatesh.
Following the successful theatrical release, the fans and critics in the industry begin to anticipate its OTT release. With the rising demand, the makers of the film announced its OTT premiere on the streaming platform Zee5 on February 16. Coincidently, it was also the lead actor Darshan’s birthday.
Similar to the theatrical response, it garnered major attention from the OTT audience as well. Now, the film is all prepared to premiere on television for the audience that missed the chance to watch it in the theatre and Zee5.
When And Where To Watch
As per the reports, the action-drama film Kaatera is slated to mark its television premiere at 7 PM on April 7. The film will be broadcast on the Zee Kannada channel.
About Kaatera
The film featuring Darshan and Aradhana Ram in crucial roles is said to be inspired by a real-life incident set in a 1970s village in Karnataka. It revolves around a blacksmith from Bheemanahalli named Kaatera. The blacksmith has to face multiple challenges to help the farmers of his village and implement the Land Reforms Act. Its implementation aimed to let the farmers escape from the feudal landlords Devaraya and Kaalegowda.
Apart from Darshan and Aradhana Ram, Kaatera also featured Jagapathi Babu, Kumar Govind, Vinod Kumar Alva, Shruti and Shweta Prasad among others.
The lead actress of the film, Aradhana Ram marked her acting debut through this movie. Although it’s her first film project, she is known to all as she is the daughter of actress Malashree. Aradhana received accolades for her spectacular performance alongside Darshan in the movie.
On the other hand, Darshan is a renowned actor who has been predominantly working in the Kannada film industry. Apart from acting, Darshan has also been a film distributor and producer. He owns a production company named Thoogudeepa Productions.
Currently, the actor has been working on his upcoming projects. It includes D59, Devil and Raja Veera Madakari Nayaka.
