Cyclone Gulab likely to make landfall at 6 pm on Sunday

Cyclone Rose Update: According to the IMD, the process of landfall of Cyclone Gulab has started in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and South Coastal Odisha. The meteorologist said that the storm is likely to make a complete knock by midnight tonight. In view of the cyclonic storm, rain activity started in the southern parts of Odisha and parts of Andhra Pradesh coastal areas on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and assured all possible support from the Centre. About 102 teams of firefighters along with 42 teams of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and 24 squads of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been sent to seven districts of Gajapati, Ganjam. Raigad, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and Kandhamal, said Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) PK Jena.
