However, the Supreme Court on Thursday ordered him to be granted interim bail.

Asked whether elections will be held for Congress Working Committee (CWC) seats, Congress general secretary in-charge of communications Jairam Ramesh on Thursday said, “The steering committee will decide on it tomorrow. This matter will definitely come up during the Steering Committee meeting…I cannot say anything about it today. But we are ready for it, he said. (CWC) elections, all preparations have been done. If the decision comes in favor of elections, elections will be held,” Ramesh said at a press conference.

Giving information about the program in the plenary session, Ramesh had said that there will be a meeting of the steering committee on Friday at 10 am, followed by a meeting of the subject committee at 4 pm on the same day, in which six proposals will be considered.
