CUET UG Biology students shifted to slot 2 to avoid clash with NEET

Responding to the concerns of students who claimed that their medical entrance exam – NEET’s common entrance test clashed with CUET, the exam conducting body – NTA, has come up with a solution. Students who have registered for both CUET and NEET will be transferred to the second batch of CUET.

In an official notice, NTA said, “Candidates who have opted for Physics, Chemistry or Biology will be called for the second stage taking into account NEET (UG) – 2022 to be held on 17th July 2022 (Sunday). is gone.”

CUET is scheduled to be conducted from July 15 to August 20, in which slot 1 will be conducted from 9 am to 12.15 pm and slot 2 will be conducted from 3 pm to 6.45 pm. 14,90,000 candidates have registered for CUET. Of these, 8,10,000 candidates will appear in the first slot, while 6,80,000 candidates will appear in the second slot. These candidates have applied for 54,555 unique combinations of subjects across 90 universities

CUET is the second largest exam in terms of number of students. The first is NEET in which 18.72 lakh candidates are appearing for the exam. In its first year, CUET has cracked down on JEE Main to reach the second most-chosen exam across the country. CUET will be conducted at various exam centers located across 500 cities India and 10 cities outside India.

Considering the huge number of subjects, a specific date sheet has been made for each candidate. Accordingly, an advance intimation slip for the examination city along with the date of examination and city of examination is being issued to all the candidates at cuet.samarth.ac.in. The City Intimation Slip for each candidate contains information related to the subjects, language and medium given in Slot 1 and Slot 2 along with the allotted date and city.

The CUET admit card of Phase I showing the details of the exam center will be available for download from today, July 12 at 6 PM.
