CUET UG 2024: The exam city slip will be released on or before May 5 and the admit cards will out by the second week of May, the UGC chairman has announced

The exam city slip for the Common University Entrance Test undergraduate exam or CUET UG 2024 will be released by May 5 while the admit cards will be available for downloading by the second week of May, Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar. Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) said.

“The National Testing Agency is likely to announce the City of Examination information for CUET-UG by 5th May or earlier. Downloading Admit Cards from the NTA website will begin in the second week of May 2024,” the chairman posted on microblogging site X.

The CUET UG 2024 is slated to commence on May 15 and will go on till May 24 for as many as 63 papers. The NTA will conduct the exam in hybrid mode — Computer-based test mode (CBT) as well as pen and paper mode. Each exam will be held for 45 minutes except for Accountancy, Economics, Physics, Computer Science, Informatics Practices, Chemistry, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and General Test which will conducted for 60 minutes.

Jagadesh Kumar had earlier said that normalisation of scores for the CUET UG will be done away with from this year. “No normalisation of scores will be required this year since both exams will be conducted in a single shift for a subject,” Kumar told PTI.

“Earlier, we had to conduct the test for the same paper for two or three days in our endeavour to provide the first-choice centre to the students as much as possible. But this year, by adopting the OMR mode, a large number of centres will be available at schools and colleges, enabling us to conduct the test across the country on the same day,” he had said.

“If the test is conducted on multiple days for the same paper, normalisation is required and it is a scientific method,” the UGC chairman added.
