It’s time to vote. Pick your best Indian Test XI to face mighty Australia in the final of the ICC World Test Championship starting June 7 in London

The Indian cricket team has started its quest for the ICC trophy for the first time in 10 years. Two world titles including the World Test Championship and the ODI World Cup are to be won. India have made it to the final of the WTC for the second time in a row and this time they would be looking to finish the job.

India had qualified for the WTC finals to be held in 2021 after finishing on top of the standings and had to be content with the runners-up tag after creating history by becoming the inaugural champions New Zealand in the final. It was the latest blow in a series of heartbreaks for India in ICC events, where they have not won a title since the 2013 Champions Trophy.

This time, standing in their way is Australia who were the first team to punch their ticket to the title clash after finishing at the top of the WTC standings. The Pat Cummins-led side will hope to join their trans-Tasman rivals in winning the Test mace.

Australia played 19 Tests during the 2021-23 WTC cycle and won 11 of them and lost three. Five of his Tests ended in draws.

The Pat Cummins-led side topped the table with 66.67 per cent marks.

India, on the other hand, played 18 Tests during this period, winning 10, losing five and drawing three.

The Rohit Sharma-led team came second with 58.8 per cent marks.

Ahead of the finale, you have a chance to pick India’s strongest playing XI for the big clash:

Barring Cheteshwar Pujara, every member of the Indian squad for the WTC final was included in IPL 2023. He will have to make a quick transition from white ball to red ball cricket and adjust to the weather in England.

However, Axar Patel recently revealed that the Indian stars were practicing with Dukes balls during the IPL and said that they are happy with the preparations.

This will be the fifth time that India and Australia will meet in a Test in 2023. The two teams clashed for the Border Gavaskar Trophy earlier this year in February-March and India retained it 2-1.
