Covid scene improves in city with rise in recoveries, active cases decline Varanasi News – Times of India

Varanasi: The situation of corona virus epidemic in Varanasi district is gradually improving with the recovery of more and the number of active cases of Kovid-19 decreasing.
According to the daily medical bulletin, out of 5,160 test reports, 155 persons tested positive for Covid-19, while 265 patients, two in hospital and 263 in home isolation, were declared cured on Friday. However, 10 patients were admitted to the hospital on Friday, taking the number of hospitalized patients to 26. The district recorded a positivity rate of 3% and a recovery rate of 87.73%. At present, there are 1,475 active cases of Kovid-19 in Varanasi.
On Friday, 42 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Jaunpur district and 46 were healthy. However, two Kovid patients died in the district. At present, there are 290 active cases of Kovid-19 in Jaunpur.
In Chandauli district, 18 persons, including four women and 14 men, tested positive for Covid-19, while 48 patients were cured on Friday. Samples of 1,494 people were taken for investigation. Presently there are 155 active cases of Kovid-19 in Chandauli.
