Covid Recovery Rate Rises, Active Cases Below 2,000 Mark | Varanasi News – Times of India

Varanasi: The Covid-19 situation started improving gradually with comparatively less number of Covid positive cases detected in the Varanasi district and larger number of recoveries on Monday. With the rise in recovery rate, the number of active cases of Covid-19 came below the mark of 2,000 in Varanasi.
According to the daily medical bulletin, out of 3,562 test reports, 193 were confirmed as positive for coronavirus infection, while 308 patients including three in hospital facilities and 305 in home isolation were declared cured.
While the positivity rate was recorded 5.42, the recovery rate was recorded as 82.39 in the district. Currently, there are 1,999 active cases of Covid-19 in Varanasi.
Jaunpur district reported 49 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday, while 45 patients were declared cured here. Currently Jaunpur has 374 active cases of Covid-19.
In Chandauli district, 21 persons including 12 women and a girl tested positive for Covid-19, while 15 patients were declared cured on Monday. The number of active cases was 191 in Chandauli.
In Ballia district, 51 persons tested positive for Covid-19, while 78 patients were declared cured on Monday. Currently, there are 235 active cases of Covid-19 in the district.
