COVID: Lockdown extended till July 12 in Haryana

The Haryana government on Sunday announced the extension of the COVID-induced lockdown in the state for another week till July 12, with some relaxations that would continue as per earlier orders.

According to the order issued by Chief Secretary Vijay Vardhan in exercise of the powers under the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, “Pandemic Alert-Safe Haryana has been extended for one more week, which is 5th July (from 5 am). ) until July. 12 in the state of Haryana (till 5 am)…

The state government has termed the COVID-induced lockdown as “Pandemic Alert – Safe Haryana (Pandemic Alert – Safe Haryana)”.

Haryana covid lockdown: easing and restrictions in place

  • The order states that the Institute of Chartered Accountants is permitted to conduct the “Chartered Accountant Examination” from July 5-20.
  • While conducting the examination, “Guidelines for Examination Centres, Examination Officers and Candidates for July 2021 CA Examination in view of the ongoing COVID pandemic issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India” along with SOPs issued by the Center from time to time. As per the orders, the preventive measures to be followed to contain the COVID will have to be strictly followed.
  • The orders further stated that it has also been decided to allow the Common Entrance Test (CEE) to be conducted at Hisar by the Army Recruiting Office, Military Station Hisar, subject to strict adherence to social distancing norms, hygiene and COVID appropriate behavior norms. subject to compliance.
  • Exemptions in respect of opening of shops, malls, restaurants, religious places, corporate offices, gatherings at weddings, funerals and open spaces will continue at present.
  • As per earlier relaxation, all shops are allowed to open from 9 am to 8 pm, malls are allowed to open from 10 am to 8 pm, restaurants and bars including hotels and malls to open from 10 am to 10 pm is allowed. pm with 50 per cent seating capacity.
  • Swimming pools and spas will remain closed.

“Now, after due consideration of the fact that though the COVID positivity rate and the number of new COVID positive cases have declined, so that preventive and precautionary measures may be continued to contain the COVID pandemic…’ Epidemic Alert ‘Secure Haryana’ has been extended for one more week..,” the order said.

The daily COVID-19 count, which crossed the 15,000-mark in May, has now come down to around 50, while the state has also recorded a steep decline in the number of Covid deaths.

The Haryana government had imposed a lockdown in the state on May 3 in view of the prevailing COVID situation. Now it has been extended for the ninth time.
