Siliguri: With a spurt in the number of COVID-19 cases in the state since the start of the festive season, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee On Sunday, he urged people to strictly follow the safety protocols to prevent the spread of the viral disease.
He urged everyone to wear their facemasks properly to cover the nose, to avoid getting infected with the disease.
“Please wear the mask properly. Number of covid A spike in cases was registered after Durga Puja. So, you must follow the covid safety precautions, don’t keep the mask hanging from your chin.” Banerjee Said in a meeting.
He urged everyone to follow the Covid-19 safety protocols during the upcoming Kali Puja, Diwali, Chhat Puja and Jagaddhatri Puja Celebration
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo also warned people about the increase in the number of malaria cases in the state, especially in North Bengal.
“There has been a sudden spurt in malaria cases in some areas of North Bengal along with the Covid cases. I will ask the district administration to sanitize every area,” she said.
