COVID: 45,892 new cases reported in India, more than 44,000 cured in 24 hours, 36 crore immunised.

With 817 deaths due to the infection in the last 24 hours, India recorded 45,892 new cases of the novel coronavirus.

According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday, a total of 44,291 discharges were reported in the country in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 2,98,43,825.

The data shows that the total active cases of COVID-19 in India has now increased to 4,60,704. The total death toll in the country now stands at 4,05,028.

The first death due to the Kovid-19 epidemic in India occurred in March last year.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 42,52,25,897 samples have been tested for Covid-19 till July 07. Of these, 18,93,800 samples were tested on Wednesday.

The Union Health Ministry said that India’s cumulative COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 36 crores.

According to the report, the total number stood at 36,48,47,549.

The ministry said that as per the provisional report, over 33,81,671 doses of vaccine have been given in 24 hours.

Overall, 10,62,08,106 persons in the age group of 18-44 years across all states and union territories have received their first dose and 31,88,078 received their second dose since the start of the third phase of the vaccination campaign is.
