Covid-19 vaccination for kids: CoWIN registration begins, these are the steps you need to follow

Vaccine registration on the CoWIN portal for children in the age group of 15 to 18 years started from January 1, officials said on Monday. The guidelines issued by the Union Health Ministry have specified that “those whose year of birth is 2007” or earlier, will be eligible.

• Beneficiaries (15-18 years of age) can register themselves online on Co-Win through existing account or by creating a new account through a unique mobile number.

• Students can register for immunization on the portal using their student ID card

• Beneficiaries can be registered at vaccination sites by the verifier or immunizer in convenient registration mode and appointments can be booked online or on-site (walk-in).

CoWIN head Dr RS Sharma had earlier told CNN-News18 that children will have the option to choose between Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin and Zydus Cadila’s jab.
