He told that on Friday, a total of 2,37,109 samples were tested in a day, in which 16,740 new cases of corona infection have come. A total of 9,76,98,882 samples have been tested so far in the state. 1,17,262 samples have been sent for RTPCR from different districts. Now there are 96,642 active cases in the state.

So far 74,59,772 first doses of vaccine have been given

Prasad also told that the work of Kovid vaccination is being done continuously. A total of 22,28,668 doses have been given in a day in the state on January 21, out of which 3,36,373 doses were given to children between the ages of 15 and 18. People above 18 years were given the first dose of 14,29,87,142 in the state, which is 97 percent of their population. People above 18 years were given the second dose of 9,42,33,071, which is 63.92 percent of their population. He told that so far 74,59,772 first doses of vaccine have been given to the children of 15 to 18 years, which is 53.23 percent of their population. He told that so far 7,11,288 precaution doses have been given.

Precaution dose to the personnel engaged in the election

Prasad told that guidelines have been given by the Government of India regarding precaution dosage, according to which people taking precaution doses if they have recently had an infection of Kovid, they can take precaution dose after three months of recovery.

He also told that keeping the personnel engaged in the elections in the frontline workers, they are also being given precaution doses. Guidelines have been given by the Government of India in this regard, according to which the employees going for election can take precaution dose after completion of 90 days of their second dose. He said that everyone must get the Kovid vaccination done. Those who have taken their first dose, must take the second dose when the time comes.
