The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition filed against the demolition of the temple of Corona Mata. Along with this, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on the woman who filed the petition. The court reprimanded him and said that such cases waste the time of the court.

what was the matter-
Deepmala Srivastava along with her husband Lokesh Kumar Srivastava built this temple in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh, which was demolished after 4 days. After this, Deepmala Srivastava had filed a public interest litigation in the Supreme Court, in which she had sought the Supreme Court to take the matter under its jurisdiction, citing violation of her fundamental right.

Supreme Court’s argument
A bench of Justices SK Kaul and MM Sundaresh said that the temple was built on the disputed land. The Supreme Court said that if the petitioner’s contention that it is his private land and constructed on it as per the local rules, then he did not take any appropriate legal step. Till this time the petitioner had not built a temple named after other infectious diseases, due to which the people of the country are infected. This land was already disputed. A complaint was also registered with the police regarding this.

Court’s decision-
The bench said that we believe that this is an insult to the judicial process of the court under Article 32 of the Constitution of India. Hence this petition is being dismissed. A fine of Rs 5000 is also being imposed which will have to be deposited with the Supreme Court lawyers under the Records Welfare Fund within four weeks.

Allegations continue-
The villagers say that the temple was demolished by the police. The police had denied the allegation saying that the temple was built on the disputed land and was demolished by one of the parties involved in the dispute. The villagers also told that Lokesh Kumar Srivastava had built this temple by taking donations from the villagers. After this the idol of Corona Mata was installed in it. Radhe Shyam Verma was appointed the priest of the temple, after which people started worshiping here.

Lokesh lives in Noida and is the owner of this land along with Nagesh Kumar Srivastava and Jai Prakash Srivastava. After getting the temple built, he returned to Noida. Nagesh had filed a complaint with the police saying that the temple was constructed to grab the land.
