Corona LIVE in the country: 2.08 lakh new cases were found, 955 died; Weekly cases decreased for the first time in the third wave

2.08 lakh cases were reported in the country on Sunday. During this, 2.61 lakh people were also cured, while 955 people have died. There has been a decrease of about 53,589 in new infected as compared to the previous day. At present, the total active cases in the country i.e. the number of patients undergoing treatment is 18.24 lakh. The total cases have crossed 4.13 crores.

There is a steady decline in the corona cases of the country. 2.34 lakh new cases were found on Saturday and 2.35 lakh on Friday. During the third wave, on January 20, the maximum number of 3.47 lakh new cases were found. The special thing is that the number of new infected is seen decreasing in all the major cities of the country including Delhi, Mumbai.

For the first time in the country after the third wave, there has been a decline in the weekly corona case. Between January 24 and 30, 17.5 lakh cases were registered, which is 19% less than the previous week. However, during the same period, there has been an increase of 41% in the case of total deaths. This week the country’s positivity rate stood at 15.68%, while last week it was 17.28%.

1. Kerala: 32 thousand defeated Corona in 24 hours
On Sunday, 51,570 new infections have been found, while 32,701 patients have been cured and 101 people died. A day before this, 50,812 new infected were found on Saturday and 94 people died. There has been an increase of 758 in new cases on Sunday as compared to Saturday.
So far, a total of 59.83 lakh people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 55.74 lakh people have been cured, while 53,666 people died. Here the positivity rate is 49.89%.

2. Karnataka: Positivity rate down by 3%
28,264 new cases have been found in Karnataka on Sunday. While 29,244 people defeated Corona. During this 68 people died. A day before this, 33,337 new cases were found on Saturday and 70 people died. At present, the number of patients undergoing treatment here is 2.51 lakh, while the positivity rate is 16.39%, which was 19.37% a day ago.

3. Maharashtra: Decrease of more than 5 thousand in new cases
In Maharashtra, 22,444 new cases of corona were found in the last 24 hours. During this 50 people died and 39,015 patients were cured. A day before this, 27,971 new cases were found and 61 people died. Now the total active cases in the state have come down to 2.27 lakh.

So far, a total of 77.05 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 73.31 lakh people have been cured, while 1.42 lakh people died. The positivity rate is 13.28%, up from 16.47% on Saturday the day before.

4. Tamil Nadu: Positivity rate down to 16.24%
22,238 new cases were reported here on Sunday. 26,624 people were cured and 38 people died. Earlier on Saturday, 24,418 new cases were reported and 46 people died. So far, a total of 33.25 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 30.84 lakh people have been cured, while 37,544 people have died. Here the active case is 2.03 lakh and the positivity rate is 16.24%.

5. Andhra Pradesh: Positivity rate reduced by 2% In Andhra, 10,310 new cases were reported here in the last 24 hours, while 9,692 people were cured and 12 people died. Earlier, 11,573 new cases were reported and 3 people died. So far 22.70 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 21.39 lakh people have been cured, while 14,606 people have died. Active cases are 1.16 lakh. The positivity rate has come down from 28.68% to 26.24%.

1. Rajasthan: 21 people died in 24 hours
10,061 cases were reported here on Sunday, while 9245 people were cured and 21 people died. Earlier on Saturday, 10,437 new cases were reported and 22 people died. So far 12 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 11.18 lakh people have been cured, while 9,245 people died. The active cases here are 72 thousand.

2. Gujarat: 11.53 lakh people infected with the virus so far
9395 new cases were found in Gujarat on Sunday. In the state, 16,066 people defeated Corona while 30 people died. A day before this, on Saturday, 11,794 new cases were found and 33 people died. So far 11.53 lakh people have come under the grip of the virus. The death toll due to Corona has reached 10,438.

3. Madhya Pradesh: Slight Decline In Positivity Rate
In Madhya Pradesh, 9305 cases were reported in 24 hours and 12,041 people were cured. During this 9 people died. A day before this i.e. on Saturday, 8,678 cases were reported and 5 people died. So far, more than 9.59 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 8.58 lakh people have been cured, while 10,616 people died. 63297 patients are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate is 11.50% which was 11.75% a day ago.

4. Uttar Pradesh: Infection rate reduced to 3.99%
There were 8079 new corona cases in the last 24 hours. 12,080 people were cured and 26 people died. Earlier on Saturday, 8273 new corona cases came and 25 people died. So far 20.13 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 19.34 lakh people have been cured, while 23,190 people died. 55,574 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the state. The positivity rate in the state is 3.99%.

5. Odisha: 19 people died in 24 hours
In Odisha, 4843 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours. During this, 9191 people were cured and 19 people died. A day before this, 4842 new cases were registered and 15 people died. So far 12.45 lakh people of the state have come under the grip of infection. At the same time, the death toll has reached 8594. The total number of active patients in the state is 43,899. The positivity rate is 7.70%.

6. Jammu and Kashmir: 3.87 lakh people defeated Corona
In the heaven of earth, Jammu and Kashmir, 4615 new corona cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. During this, 6557 people were cured and 7 people died. A day before this, 4175 new corona cases were reported and 5 people died. So far 4.32 lakh people of the state have come under the grip of infection. 3.87 lakh people have defeated Corona, while 4659 people have died. The infection rate in the state is 5.99%.

7.Haryana: 1% drop in infection rate
In the last 24 hours, 3918 people were found infected in the state. 5284 people have been cured and 17 people have died. Here on Saturday, 4,445 people were found infected and 13 people died. So far, more than 9.45 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 9.06 lakh people have been cured, while 10,286 people died. A total of 28,814 patients are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate was 12.63% a day ago which is now 11.19%.

8. Delhi: Positivity rate continues to decline
On Saturday, 3674 new corona cases were reported in Delhi and 30 people died. 6954 people were cured. A day before this, 4483 new corona cases were reported on Saturday and 28 people died. So far, more than 18.27 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 17.80 lakh have been cured while 25,827 have died. The positivity rate in Delhi was 30% on January 15, which has come down continuously to 6.37% on Sunday.

9. West Bengal: 6 thousand reduction in active cases
On Sunday, 3427 new cases have been found in West Bengal. During this, 9750 patients were cured, while 33 people have died. A total of 19.93 lakh cases have been found in the state so far, while 19.41 lakh people have recovered. A total of 20,583 people have died. Active case is 31562. There has been a decrease of 6356 in active cases on the last day. The positivity rate here is 6.00%.

10. Punjab: State Positivity Rate 7.50%
In Punjab, 2,780 new infected have been found on the last day and 24 people have died. 5,431 people have also recovered from the infection. So far 7.41 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 6.97 lakh people have been cured, while 17,214 people died. Active cases are 26,791. The positivity rate in the state is 7.50%.
