Constable suspended for sporting a mustache like Abhinandan: The constable refused to remove it; Said – Sir, I am a Rajput, the mustache will not be removed if I have a job

His stupendous long mustache has overshadowed the job of police constable Rakesh Rana in Bhopal. His bouncy mustache is similar to the present-day mustache of Indian Air Force’s brave Group Captain Abhinandan. His friends also greet him. But the officer did not like his mustache and suspended him.

However, AIG Prashant Sharma of Cooperative Fraud and Public Service Guarantee says that Constable Rakesh Rana has not followed the order. Here, Rakesh said that Sir, I am Rajput. Have a job or not. I will not cut my mustache. Sir, Mustache looks good in police job. Looks like he’s a policeman.

Constable Rakesh Rana is posted as Driver of Special Director General of Police, MP Pool Bhopal Co-operative Fraud and Public Service Guarantee. He was suspended two days ago. The order of suspension has been issued by AIG Prashant Sharma.

The order said that on checking the turnout of constable driver Rakesh Rana, it was found that his hair has grown. The mustache is on the neck in a strange design. This makes the turnouts appear extremely unsightly. Constable Rakesh was instructed to cut hair and mustache properly to fix the turnout. Rakesh did not follow the order. This comes under the category of indiscipline in uniform service. For this reason he is suspended with immediate effect.

However, Rakesh said on this order, Sir, I am a Rajput and it is my pride to have a mustache. Even if the job goes, I will not cut my mustache. I am already wearing a similar mustache. After being captured by the Pakistan Army, Group Captain Abhinandan became an identity. Since then, people also started calling him congratulations because of his mustache. I accept the order of suspension, but will not remove my mustache.
