Sukesh Chandrasekhar has sent a Rs 100 crore legal notice to Chahatt Khanna for her recent statements about him. The actress had recorded her statement in the court last month.

Sukesh Chandrasekhar has reportedly sent a Rs 100 crore legal notice to TV actor Chahatt Khanna over his recent allegations against the conman. Last month, Chahat recorded her statement before the Patiala House Court under Section 164 of the CrPC in the ongoing Rs 200 extortion case in which Sukesh has been named as the prime accused. After statements in the court and the press, Sukesh sent a legal notice of Rs 100 crore to the actor.

According to a report in ETimes, Sukesh Chandrasekhar’s lawyer said that Chahat’s recent statements have “damaged” Sukesh’s reputation and caused him “irreparable damage”. Sukesh’s lawyer Anant Malik has demanded the television actress to withdraw her statement within a week and withdraw or face prosecution.

Last month, apart from giving her statement in the court, Chahat also spoke to the media to publicly share her side of the story. In an interview with Bombay Times, Chahat claimed that he was taken to Tihar Jail to meet her in 2018 and he proposed to her. Chahat was married at that time and was the mother of two children.

Chahat said she was invited to attend a school event in 2018 and that’s when she met Pinky Irani’s alias Angel Khan, who allegedly introduced Sukesh to several stars. Once in Delhi, he was taken in a car to the jail premises. In the campus, she met Sukesh who proposed to her and offered to ‘be the father of (her) children’.

He spent about half an hour in Tihar Jail before leaving for the airport with Angel. He was allegedly given Rs 2 lakh as ‘shagun’ before returning to Mumbai. A few days later, he allegedly started receiving ransom calls from his team, blackmailing him to extort Rs 10 lakh, or else the video of him going to Tihar Jail would be sold to a TV channel.

I did not want anyone to know that I am in Tihar Jail. I was also worried that it would affect my marriage and hence agreed to pay them. Among other things, it affected my marriage, and my husband and I separated. Perhaps I should have approached the police and filed a complaint. But things kept happening one after the other and I just wanted to get out of it.”
