Congress takes a dig at PM Modi’s ‘workaholic’ photo, shares Manmohan Singh’s picture with the press

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is usually known to work long hours and has been using almost every minute of the day to share a picture of how he was using his time on a long flight to America.

Ahead of the hectic itinerary, which includes meetings with top global CEOs, their Australian and Japanese counterparts, meetings with the US President and Vice President, PM Modi took to social media and shared a picture where he was seen from his long-time career. Can be seen while passing through his work flights. Flying to the US to attend UNGA and QUAD summits.

A longer flight also means an opportunity to go through papers and some file work,” tweeted the Prime Minister, posting a picture of himself at work.

While netizens called him a workaholic and appreciated his dedication towards the work, the Indian National Congress took a dig at the Prime Minister and shared a picture while holding a press conference during the tenure of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The opposition Congress wrote in the caption of the picture, “Some pictures are difficult to copy.”

Many BJP leaders shared the Prime Minister’s tweet.

“Always in the service of the nation without stopping, relentlessly,” Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav replied to the tweet using #SevaSamaran.

BJP leader Kapil Mishra used a photograph of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri – where he is seen reading files during a flight – with PM Modi, as he praised both the leaders for their commitment to their work .

PM Modi will start his first day with a one-on-one meeting with CEOs of five American companies, including Apple CEO Tim Cook. Prime Minister Modi will also hold bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Morrison of Australia and Prime Minister Suga of Japan and take stock of the strong bilateral ties.

Later that day PM Modi will meet US Vice President Kamala Harris and this will be the first meeting between the two leaders. Harris had earlier spoken to Modi over the phone in June during the COVID-19 crisis.
