Stones and utensils were also thrown against them with slogans. With the help of security staff, the MLA somehow saved his life by hiding in the Gurdwara Sahib. After this the people warned that they should not come here again or else the farmers will protest again.

MLA Balwinder Ladi had gone to a religious congregation at Gurdwara Sahib in Sri Hargobindpur, Batala late Sunday evening in Gurdaspur. There was a pandal near Gurdwara Sahib. On his arrival, MLA Balwinder Ladi was honored by the managers. After this, as soon as the MLA started speaking from the stage, the farmers got enraged, they started shouting slogans and reached the stage.
