Congress government in Rajasthan will complete its five-year term: CM Gehlot India News – Times of India

Jaipur: Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot Said on Saturday that his government would complete its full term of five years, amid internal uproar in the Congress in neighboring Punjab, where Amarinder Singh resigned as CM, and Chhattisgarh.
Gehlot said at an event organized at his residence here to launch the campaign ‘Prasanshan Sher Ke Sang and Prashan Gaon Ke Sang’, there was speculation about Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh after Punjab.
“The Congress government in Rajasthan will not only complete its five years but will also come back to power in the next assembly elections in the state,” he said.
Gehlot said that as per the feedback of the people, there is no anti-incumbency aspect against his government.
In Rajasthan, there is a leadership tussle between former deputy chief ministers Sachin Pilot and Gehlot, while in Chhattisgarh, after Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel completed two-and-a-half years in office in June, the TS Singhdeo camp claimed that the Congress leadership in 2018 had lost its power to the government. After completing half the term, it was agreed to give him this post.
After Amarinder Singh resigned from the chief minister’s post, claiming that he was humiliated by the Congress, receiving a strong backlash from the party, senior leader Harish Rawat said the party always respected him.
At the launch of the campaign, Gehlot also said that if Congress wins in the next Rajasthan elections, he will again allot the urban development and housing portfolio to Shanti Dhariwal, as he has worked hard regarding the campaign.
