Raj Anadkat best known as Tappu of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has left the show. The actor confirmed the news of his exit through a post on Instagram on Tuesday. The move comes days after she disappeared from the show. Taking to the social media platform, he released a statement announcing his exit but assured that there was no bad blood behind his exit.
“Hello everyone, it’s time to put an end to all the questions and speculations. My association with Neela Film Productions and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has officially come to an end. It’s been a year of learning, making friends and some of the best years of my career It has been a wonderful journey to spend.
“I want to thank everyone who supported me in this journey – the entire team of TMKOC, my friends, family and of course all of you (red heart emoji). To everyone who welcomed me on the show and loved me as ‘Tapu’, your love for my craft has always inspired me to give my best to each and every one of you.”

The news of his exit comes months after Shailesh Lodha, who was seen as Taarak Mehta, quit the show. In the past, actors like Nidhi Bhanushali who plays Sonu, Neha Mehta who plays Anjali Mehta, Gurcharan Singh aka Mr. Sodhi, Bhavya Gandhi who plays Tappu for the longest time and Disha Vakani who plays Daya Artist Saalon has left the show.
