The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) came to an end on Sunday as Gujarat Titans (GT) clinched their maiden title by registering a 7-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Ahmedabad. Nobody gave them a chance but Gujarat Titans stunned everyone by winning the Indian Premier League title in their very first season, defying all pre-tournament predictions.

It was not a team full of star players, but Hardik impressed with his leadership and got the best out of his colleagues. His performances with bat and ball also contributed greatly to the team’s victory, apart from the ability to bounce back from any position through the brilliance of Miller and Rahul Teotia. After posting a tremendous total, Rajasthan had to make a special effort with the ball to get back into the game.

Gujarat was the first team to qualify for the final, while RR were behind the table-toppers in the group stage. In the final, Hardik Pandi came up with a brilliant all-round performance to help GT Hammer RR claim the title in the final on Sunday.
