COIMBATORE: Codissia will conduct the second edition of raw materials exhibition — ‘Raw Mat India 2022’ – in the Codissia trade fair complex in Coimbatore from September 14 to 16. The exhibition will bring together major raw material dealers and the business community in Coimbatore and neighbouring districts.
Organisers expect trade to the tune of Rs 150 crore on the sidelines of the fair as Coimbatore region is a major consumer of raw materials, inputs and services given the presence of a large number of small, medium and large-scale industries.
It would see participation of 88 companies from various parts of the country and representatives from countries in other countries like Japan, Europe, China, Taiwan and South Korea, said exhibition chairman C B Senthil Kumar.
“The first edition was conducted in 2019, which saw 8,000 visitors. The exhibition could not be conducted due to Covid-19 in subsequent years. We expected around 10,000 visitors for the second edition,” he said.
Senthil Kumar said a range of plastic raw materials, nonferrous metals, fasteners, packaging materials, billets and bars and mobile app solutions, internet of things and business to business e-marketplace will be displayed.
“The exhibition will open up a range of raw materials in various products to the business people in this region. Since dealers of raw materials come down here, business community will be in a better position to negotiate prices,” said Codissia president V Thirugnanam.
Air Commodore KSS Sanjeeb, Chief of Base Repair Depot, Air Force Station, Sulur, will inaugurate the exhibition.
Entry will be free for visitors. However, registration is necessary.
