The price of CNG in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad will be Rs 63.38 per kg, while in Gurugram it is Rs 69.17 per kg.

CNG price in the national capital was hiked by 80 paise per kg on Friday, as the government raised natural gas prices to record levels.

According to the information posted on the website of Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), the price of CNG in the National Capital Region (NCT) of Delhi has been increased from Rs 60.01 to Rs 60.81 per kg. National Capital.

This is the sixth increase in CNG prices in the last month. Overall, the rates have gone up by around Rs 4 per kg. This increase is due to a jump in gas prices globally.

IGL procures natural gas from domestic fields as well as buys imported LNG. LNG in the spot or current market touched record highs in recent months and on Thursday the government raised the price of gas produced from local fields to US$6.10 per million British thermal units from US$2.9 per million.

Industry sources said this has increased the cost of IGL, necessitating a price hike. This year itself, the prices have increased by about Rs 8.50 per kg.

However, the company has not changed the price of natural gas found in domestic kitchens for cooking.

The hike in CNG prices comes after petrol and diesel prices were hiked by Rs 6.40 per liter and LPG rates by Rs 50 per cylinder in less than two weeks.

The price of CNG in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad will be Rs 63.38 per kg, while in Gurugram it is Rs 69.17 per kg. Prices vary from city to city depending on the incidence of local taxes such as VAT.

A record 137-day gap in revision of petrol and diesel prices ended on March 22. On the same day, the price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder increased to Rs 949.50 in the national capital. In some places, the price of LPG has gone up to Rs 1,000.
