Asha workers will get 2500 allowance and cashless insurance

CM Channi said that 22 thousand ASHA workers working in Punjab will now get an allowance of Rs 2500 per month. Earlier they did not get any allowance. This will be with the benefits already available. Asha workers will be provided cashless health insurance up to Rs 5 lakh. At the same time, they will also get maternity leave like permanent employees. He said that Asha workers have got a gift of 64.25 crores from this.

3 thousand per month allowance for mid day meal workers instead of 2200

CM Charanjit Channi said that 42,205 mid-day meal workers are working in 19,300 schools in Punjab. Those who currently get Rs 2,200 per month. In this, Rs 1,600 is given by Punjab and Rs 600 by the central government. This too is not available for the whole year but only for 10 months. He said that now this allowance has been increased to Rs 3,000 per month. This allowance will also now be available for 12 months instead of 10 months. Due to this, he has got a gift of 60 crores.

CM Channi targeted the Aam Aadmi Party for giving one thousand rupees a month to the women without naming them. He said that women will have to be given power, not one thousand rupees. In Punjab, Congress has given 33% reservation to women in government jobs. At the same time, 50% reservation has been given in Sarpanch, Block Samiti and Zilla Parishad member.
