After becoming the face of Congress Chief Minister in Punjab elections, CM Charanjit Channi is emphasizing on the image of the common man. He is going directly among the people, bypassing the Chief Minister’s VIP status and security frills. CM Channi started playing cricket with the youth on his way to Bhadur. Some distance ahead, the elders in the village were playing cards. There also CM Channi played cards for a while. After this, while returning back at night, they reached the dhaba. There he shook hands with the truck drivers. Then sat down to eat there.

Charanjit Channi played 6 balls during cricket in Bhadur. Channi challenged that if someone gets him out, he will give a reward of 5 thousand. The youngsters tried but Channi kept playing the defensive game. Because of which no one could get him out.

Charanjit Channi made Punjab Congress Chief Navjot Sidhu ‘clean bold’ in the race for the CM face of Congress. Sidhu could not become the CM face even after presenting all the Punjab models and making rhetoric. After that he withdrew from the election campaign. Sidhu has remained confined to his Amritsar East region only. After which now CM Channi is playing on ‘Frontfoot’. Channi has stuck to campaigning not only for himself but also for other candidates.
