On the security lapse of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Charanjit Channi said that there has been no attack on the PM. There was no lapse in their security, so no action has been taken against any officer. He said that I cannot lathi-shoot on peaceful protesters.

CM Channi said that the entire program of the PM was by air but suddenly his security agencies did it by road. Some protesters came on the way and they blocked the road by installing tractor trolley. Despite this, if they feel that there has been a security lapse, then we will get it investigated. So far no action has been taken against any officer.

I had to go myself, did not come because of corona

CM Charanjit Channi said that it is our responsibility to respect the Prime Minister. I myself had to receive them and go along. Had to go to Firozpur and attend the meeting. Yesterday some of my office staff got corona test done, then our principal secretary and PA came corona positive. Because of this, considering my responsibility, I did not go there.

PM’s office said – join video conferencing

I also discussed this with the cabinet. According to him, I told the PM’s office whether I should come or not. From there I got a written request that you join the VC. So I sent Finance Minister Manpreet Badal there. I imposed the duty of Deputy CM and MLA of Ferozepur to welcome the PM to Ferozepur.

Farmers removed till 3 pm

Yesterday I got a call from Home Minister that BJP workers can be stopped. remove them immediately. I assured him to take every precaution. We tried till 3 o’clock in the night to pick up all the farmers who were sitting on the streets. From 5 days, the central agencies IB, SPG and PM Security had come to Ferozepur. She was monitoring everything. He had handled all the work. That’s why they also worked together and cleared the way by 3 o’clock.

IB director did not pick up the phone at night

At 1.30 pm, the Chief Secretary said that the CM’s office should guarantee that the PM would hold a meeting with him. I asked to give it in writing through DC. After this the farmers cleared the way. After this, at 2.45 pm, he called the Director of Intelligence Bureau (IB). He didn’t pick up the phone. His call came at 6:30 in the morning. Had a discussion with him and gave complete information.

We had made roads open for the rally so that no one is inconvenienced. It was agreed to get the meeting time from the PM to the farmers who were protesting. The PM’s program came in the morning that the seating arrangement had also come from there. Who will sit in the helicopter?

PM had to go by air, had told to fly helicopter even in rain

Had to go from Bathinda to Firozpur by air. For this, 3 helipads were built in Ferozepur so that the PM could land anywhere. We had also talked about rain and asked to cancel the program. We were assured that the helicopter would fly in the rain. CM Channi said that according to the program sent to us, PM was to fly from Delhi at 9.30 in the morning. He was to reach Bathinda airport at 10.25 am. After this 5 minutes from Bathinda at 10.30 MI 17 helicopter was to reach Firozpur at 11.05.

politics should not be done

CM Channi said that peaceful dharna should not be linked with PM’s security. There should be no politics in this. There is no such thing as a threat to the security or dignity of the PM. It was not pre-determined to go by road. He said that we are sorry that the PM had to go back.
