Agra: almost all tickets to see Taj Mahal Tuesday, the last day of such viewing, under moonlight, was sold out the day before.
After being closed to the public for more than a year since March 17, 2020, when the nationwide lockdown was imposed due to COVID-19, the monument was reopened for night viewing from Saturday.
As curfew is still in force from 10 pm to 6 am across the state, only three out of eight slots available for viewing have been opened from 8:30 pm to 10 pm. About this Officials said that only 135 tickets were sold on the first day and only 74 tickets were counted on the second day.
However, the last day was near home as 147 tickets were booked by tourists to see the monument at night. In each slot, 50 tourists are allowed as per the guidelines of Supreme court. To see the Taj at night, tickets are booked a day in advance from the office counter of ASI.
