People who were rescued from Khanmigar Glacier with District Collector Neeraj Kumar.

The rescued members of the mountaineering team stranded on the Khanmigar Glacier in Himachal Pradesh have been transported to Kaza. They were given first aid at CHC Kaza. Among those rescued were a Sherpa, 6 porters and 30 other members. A total of 10 people were rescued. A porter and a member had already reached the ITBP camp from Kah with the rescue team. They too are now in Kaza. That is, a total of 12 members have reached Kaza. Now the bodies of both the people who lost their lives are being brought down from the Khamigar Glacier. Both the bodies have been shifted to the ITBP base camp.

District Collector Neeraj Kumar said that on reaching Kaza, the team members were given first aid. Soon, along with both the dead bodies, four porters will also be rescued and brought to Kaza. All have reached the base camp of ITBP. ADM Mohan Dutt Sharma inquired about the condition of the rescued people. The West Bengal minister also spoke to the members through phone. The rescued people have expressed their gratitude to the ITBP jawans, Dogra Scouts and Ports involved in the rescue team.
