Jaipur: In another heart-wrenching suicide case of Rajasthan, a Class 10 student in Dholpur district ended his life by hanging himself in a rented room under exam pressure. The landlord of the rented room died of a heart attack after seeing the body hanging, news agency PTI quoted police as saying on Thursday. According to the police, the incident took place in Dholpur’s Madhavanand Colony, where Pushpendra Rajput (17) lived as a tenant and studied in a private school. According to the police, he returned from his village on Wednesday and committed suicide the same night.

Bahadur Singh (70), one of the family members of the landlord, saw the body hanging in the room and shouted for help. Police said that when Singh saw the body hanging, his health suddenly deteriorated and he collapsed.

Nihalganj Station House Officer Vijay Meena said, “A suicide note has been recovered from the student’s room. The landlord died of a heart attack after seeing the body hanging in the room. The bodies have been kept in the hospital mortuary.” ”

The dead bodies were handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem. Police said a case has been registered under CrPC section.

Earlier in February, 17-year-old Abhishek, a coaching student in Rajasthan’s Kota, committed suicide by hanging himself due to exam pressure. The boy, who hails from Badaun in UP, was living in a hostel in Kota for the past two years and was preparing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET). He was not going to coaching for some time but was taking online classes from the hostel itself.

In the suicide note, Abhishek wrote, “I am apologizing to you. I came to Kota on my own free will. No one forced me. Sorry sister, mom, sorry brother, sorry friends. Forgive me, I am defeated.” Why do I want to die?”

Father Aram Singh reached Kota on Friday morning after getting information about Abhishek’s suicide. He said parents know how to raise and educate children, but coaching institutes “discriminate”.

“That’s why children are committing suicide. Why is such a situation arising? What is the environment that children are committing suicide,” he asked.
