The 2022 C5 Aircross gets a host of changes inside and out. Ahead of its launch here are the top things to know about French SUV.
2022 Citroen C5: Design
Talking about the design, the SUV gets a newly designed front fascia with split headlamps and new twin-line LED DRLs. The SUV also gets vertical air intakes and at the rear, the SUV features new LED tail lamps. Other updates include newly designed 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, blacked-out mirror caps, matte black roof rails along with a revamped Citroen logo.
2022 Citroen C5: Interior
The layout of the cabin resembles the C5 X. The SUV will now feature a 10-inch freestanding infotainment system and a 12.3-inch instrumental cluster which displays navigation. Other features include an electric panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, automatic climate control, electric seats, wireless charging and many more.
Citroen also claims that the front seats are now better cushioned, with 15 mm of additional padding, with heating and cooling functions and the gear lever for the automatic gearbox has been replaced with a toggle switch unit.
3. 2022 Citroen C5: ADAS?
2022 Citroen C5 is also expected to get Citroen’s Highway Driver Assist suite of advanced driver assistance and active safety (ADAS). ADAS suite includes forward collision prevention, lane-keeping assist and an adaptive cruise control system with a stop-and-go function, among other features.
4. Engine and Transmission
Mechanically, the car will remain unchanged. The SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged Diesel engine which produces 177 bhp of power and 400 Nm of torque and is paired to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
5. Expected Price and Rivals
The 2022 Citroen C5 is likely to be priced between Rs 37 lakh and Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, the new C5 will compete with the newly launched Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tiguan.
