Chidambaram hits out at Modi for skipping Parliament attack tribute program for Varanasi tour

New Delhi: Former Union minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the PM did not attend the Parliament program to pay tribute to those killed in the 2001 attack and instead went to Varanasi.

Chidambaram said, “The Prime Minister has so much respect for Parliament that he will not attend the homage to the martyred security personnel on December 13. He will leave everything and go to Varanasi. You will find him only in places like Varanasi and Ayodhya, in Parliament. No.” According to news agency ANI.
