A petty act has come to the fore in the Darbar Sahib complex of the famous Golden Temple in Amritsar. It is being told that two boys were trying to implicate a girl in talks, when they were stopped, they attacked the supervisor of the Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) with sharp weapons. However, due to the courage of the supervisor, both the accused were caught by the police in a short time.

The accused have been identified as Gurdial Singh, a resident of Ghumana, Batala, and Gurvinder Singh, a resident of Sultanwind Road. SGPC supervisor Harvinder Singh was standing near Miri-Piri in the middle of the parikrama during his duty at around 3 pm on Wednesday. His eyes fell on two young men, who were talking to a young woman. They were trying to take the girl along by implicating her in things. On being suspicious, Harvinder immediately interrupted the youth.

Due to this restraint, both the youths, who were doing wrong things, attacked Harvinder Singh with a kirpan and a splinter. Taking advantage of the crowd, the accused also fled from the spot, but the SGPC supervisor immediately informed his officers and the police. ASI Amarjeet Singh, in-charge of the corridor post, along with the team started searching for the accused around. Within no time the police arrested both the accused near the corridor. At present, action has been started against the accused by registering a case under sections 295, 511 and 34.
