Chhattisgarh’s star cricketer Harpreet Singh Bhatia is absconding. Harpreet, who ran away for the game in the best cricket grounds of the country, is now playing the game of escape with the police. An FIR has been registered against Harpreet in the Vidhan Sabha police station of Raipur. The case is about getting a government job on the basis of fake documents.
Bhatia had given the BCom final year marksheet from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi.
A complaint has been lodged at the Vidhan Sabha police station on behalf of the Office of the Accountant General, Raipur. It has been said in this complaint that in the year 2014, Harpreet Singh Bhatia had applied for recruitment to the post of Accountant. In this, Harpreet Singh Bhatia had given the BCom final year marksheet from Bundelkhand University of Jhansi under the educational qualification. With the help of this fake document, Harpreet Singh Bhatia got the job.
From the year 2014 till now, the Accountant General Department was also involved in investigation and government process. Due to this the case against the cricketer could not be exposed. Now it was told by Bundelkhand University that they have not issued the marksheet to Harpreet Singh. The department has registered a case against Harpreet Singh Bhatia under section 420 section 468 section 467 section 469 section 470 and 471.

Harpreet was the highest run scorer of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in the year 2016-17. He scored 211 runs in 4 matches at a strike rate of 145.
