Chennai Metro Rail average ridership rises | Chennai News – Times of India

CHENNAI: Chennai Metro Rail’s daily average ridership has jumped from 81.266 to 1.82 lakh in the last eight months. A total of 3.57 crore passengers have travelled in metro trains since the beginning of 2021, the CMRL said in a statement on Thursday.
Nearly 57 lakh commuters used the metro rail service in August. It was more than double the ridership in January 2022 when 25 lakh people travelled.
The highest passenger flow in the metro stations last month was 2.2 lakh recorded on August 29.
