Chennai Fog: Multiple Flights From Bengaluru Airport Delayed, Diverted due to Bad Weather

Flight services were disrupted at the Chennai airport due to inclement weather. According to Chennai airport officials, several flights were delayed or diverted to Bengaluru due to dense fog on Tuesday morning. Seven planes that attempted to reach Chennai from Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Dubai were unsuccessful and kept circling the earth. According to officials, the flight from Dubai was sent to Bengaluru for landing.

Chennai and its suburbs were suddenly engulfed in dense fog after 7.30 am today. As a result, flights arriving and landing at the Chennai airport were delayed. An Indigo Airlines flight from Bengaluru, which was scheduled to land in Chennai at 8 am today, briefly circled in the sky and left for Bengaluru. Similarly, an Emirates Airlines flight that had come from Dubai to Chennai kept circling for a long time and was finally diverted to Bengaluru.
