The exam calendar released by the National Testing Agency notified that the CUET UG entrance exam will be conducted from 21st to 31st May 2023.

The Common University Entrance Test, often called CUET UG, for admission to undergraduate courses will begin soon. UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar told the students that the entrance exam registration will start in a few days. The chairperson tweeted the information and wrote, ‘Registration and application process of Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG) – 2023] The announcement will be made in a few days for admission to undergraduate programs in central universities and other participating universities. #CUET

eligibility

There is no age restriction of the candidate. No matter what their age, students who have passed class 12th or equivalent exam or who are appearing for the 2022 exam are eligible to appear for the CUET UG 2023 exam. However, applicants must meet the age requirements (if any) of the universities in which they wish to be admitted.

For undergraduate courses, NTA will set the exam in the format of multiple choice questions. A total of 140 questions will be asked by the students divided into three sections. The test will be conducted in 13 different languages ​​across the country for admission to undergraduate programs in all Central Universities (CUs). A total of 1,000 exam centers will be arranged by the National Testing Agency for the examinations.

Syllabus

Language ability is tested in Section I (IA and IB), main subject knowledge is assessed in Section II and general knowledge is reviewed in Section III. Students will have 45 minutes to complete each section. In section 2, the officials will check the understanding of the subjects chosen by the student for the graduation exam. Candidates can choose 6 subjects from the list of 27 subjects.

In the duration of 45 minutes for both the sections, candidates have to attempt 40 out of 50 questions. Five marks will be given for the correct answer while one mark will be deducted for the wrong answer.

Section 3 can be crucial for the candidates as it will include General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning and Logical & Analytical Reasoning. Candidates have to attempt 65 questions out of 70.

Result

The result is expected to be declared in the third week of June 2023.
