Chatra court sentenced two to life imprisonment in the case of uncle’s murder. Jamshedpur News – Times of India

Chatra: Two people were sentenced to life imprisonment on Wednesday for murder Uncle Suspicion of practicing black magic and killing his brother in 2009.
NS court Additional District and Sessions Judge (II) Kaushik Mishra also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 each on both, failing which they will have to spend an additional six months in jail.
Couple – Identity. done as Sadhu Bharti and Madhu Bharti – supposedly dead Faudar Bharti (55) was responsible for the death of her brother Kamlesh Bharti.
Kamlesh died in 2009 in Nonia Pali village of Hunterganj block of the district.
Suspecting their uncle’s hand in Kamlesh’s death, Sadhu, Madhu and his other two brothers – Pravesh Bharti and Ramesh Bharti – dragged the faudar out of the house and tied his hands and feet. After this, they beat him with sticks and hit him with an ax, due to which he died on the spot. The incident is of 20 March 2009 and the Hunterganj police found his body on 23 March near Beluri river.
Later, the father’s daughter Pramila Kumari gave a complaint. FIR against the four brothers and on 26 March 2019, Sadhu and Madhu were arrested. Police said Ramesh was arrested earlier this week while Pravesh is still missing.
Both the arrested had filed a bail application in the Jharkhand High Court but it was rejected.
The court had ordered a speedy trial in the matter.
