‘Mere Angne Mein’ fame Charu Asopa and her marriage are making headlines these days. Ever since she married Sushmita Sen’s brother Rajeev Sen, her personal life became a topic of discussion. Charu is living separately from her husband since 2022 and has a 15-month-old daughter, Ziyana. She is currently struggling to find a house in Mumbai as she is a single mother. In an interview with ETimes, the actress talked about her struggles.
Charu told that because of being a single parent, he was denied a house. “From finding a house to shifting to Mumbai, it is not easy. I am searching for houses and it is very hot. Every day I was going out and searching for a house. It was very busy There are two things, first, you are an actor and then you are a mother. That too is a problem. If actors don’t get houses in Mumbai, where else will they get them?
Talking about one such situation that came up recently, Asopa shared, “I have faced this as a single mother. I liked a flat, they were very conservative. They came to know that I am a single mother and will be living alone with my daughter. I came to know that it was bothering her.” The actress also revealed how she often becomes a victim of trolls and how people judge her. Speaking to ETimes, she said, “When you are a mother , then there’s a decision that you can’t wear revealing clothes.”
She further added, “Some people comment that ‘as the date of divorce approaches, the clothes are getting smaller’. I used to wear such clothes earlier too, but it was fine then. But it is not so now. Because I am a single mother. If I wear such clothes, it doesn’t mean that I don’t love my daughter. People say leave it all and focus on the child.”
Charu had earlier told about her divorce from Rajeev. Charu said that the couple is done for good now. He said that there is a quarrel between the two since the marriage. He claimed that after the fight, Rajeev would disappear for weeks or months and block all communications. They hoped that they would settle their issue for the sake of their daughter Gianna but it did not happen. The actress said she regrets giving her marriage a second shot. Rajeev Sen and Charu Asopa got married in 2019 and welcomed their daughter in November last year.
