CHENNAI: The charred body of an unidentified man was found in a secluded place at Pongupalayam in Tirupur city on Wednesday.
The 15 Velampalayam police received an alert from the public that a charred body was found amidst bushes in Pongupalayam on Wednesday morning. A team immediately rushed to the spot and secured the body.
A sniffer dog was brought to the spot to help the investigation. Later, the body was shifted to Tirupur Government Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
A police officer said that information has been relayed to all the police stations in the district seeking man missing cases.
