Charmi Kaur releases update on Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film Liger

The shooting of Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda’s much-awaited pan-India film Ligar resumed on Wednesday. The film’s co-producer Charmi Kaur posted a picture from the sets of the action-drama film, giving fans a glimpse of the actor in his character. In her tweet, Charmi told her followers, ‘Blood, sweat, violence, starting today. shoot mode. Beast mode.” The picture accompanying the tweet shows Deverakonda’s back as he sat inside the boxing ring with his hair neatly tied at the back. The actor was also seen wearing boxing gloves as he wore purple hues exposed his silhouette.

Fans were quite excited as they finally got the update of the film. Liger will also feature Ananya Panday in a lead role and will feature Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy in pivotal roles.

The film’s teaser was earlier scheduled to release in May, however, due to the devastating second wave of coronavirus in the country, the makers of the film postponed the teaser release date. At the time, it was also said that Liger would hit theaters on September 9. However, the pandemic affected the shooting schedule of the film and it is not yet decided when the film will release.

Ligar is directed by Puri Jagannadh, who is known for his work in Telugu cinema. Liger will release in five Indian languages ​​Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The film will be the first pan-India film for both Ananya and Deverakonda. The title of the film is a combination of Sher and Tiger which describes the character of the protagonist in the film. Deverakonda will play a mixed martial artist in the film and as suggested by Charmy’s tweet, it will come with some serious action sequences.
