Before the Char Dham Yatra starting from May 3, the work of repairing the 500 km route from Rishikesh to Badrinath Dham is fast, while on the other hand the road to reach Yamunotri Dham remains in a dilapidated condition. There are more than 40 active landslide zones on the Chardham Yatra road, which has become a challenge for the local administration and government. The administration claims that more than Rs 100 crore is being spent on the treatment of these chronic active landslide zones.

The doors of Chardham will open along with Gangotri from May 3
The doors of Chardham will open alternately from next month. It will start from Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham on Akshaya Tritiya on 3rd May. The doors of Kedarnath will open on 6th May and Badrinath Dham on 8th May. Online registration for travel has gained momentum. So far more than one lakh pilgrims have registered online. In this, maximum number of pilgrims have registered for Kedarnath Dham. This time QR code is being issued to the passengers.
