Char Dham Yatra: Pilgrims found traveling with fake registration documents

Some cyber cafes are suspected of issuing fake registration documents to the pilgrims.

A case under section 420 of IPC was registered against unidentified persons after fake registration documents for Char Dham Yatra were recovered from some pilgrims.

During the checking conducted in the presence of Garhwal Commissioner Sushil Kumar and DIG Garhwal KS Nagnyal, fake registration documents were recovered from six pilgrims traveling by bus at Bhadrakali checkpost.

Garhwal commissioner Sushil Kumar said some cyber cafes are suspected of issuing fake registration documents to pilgrims. The pilgrims from whom fake registration documents were recovered were asked to return.

He said that in this regard, a case has been registered against unknown people at Muni ki Reti police station under section 420 of IPC.

He said that cyber cafes involved in this fraudulent activity will be dealt with strictly.
