Channi government lacks ‘political will’ to go after ‘compromising’ officers, says Navjot Sidhu

Speaking outside the state assembly on the day of the inauguration of the special session, Sidhu said the Channi government lacked political will to deal with such cases, accusing the ruling government of filing a special leave petition against the blanket bail granted to former DGP Saini. accused of delay. In a veiled attack on Channi, Sidhu said, “I stand on principles and high moral ground, and am not among those who changed their stand after dethroning Captain Amarinder Singh.” And the state government was considered to lack “will” to deliver justice.

He said, ‘I have never compromised and never will. For me, justice in sacrilege is not the way to seize power like some others. I will fight tirelessly for justice,” he said.

The cricketer-turned-politician has opened a new front against the Channi government over key government appointments, though Channi seems to have stood his ground. Sources said that despite Sidhu’s vehement attack, the Channi government was adamant on asking the officials to leave.
