Centre extends Mhadei water disputes tribunal’s time period by one other 12 months | Goa Information – Occasions of India

PANAJI: The Union authorities has prolonged the tenure of Mhadei water disputes tribunal by one other 12 months for submission of its report.
“In pursuance of the powers conferred by the supply to sub-section (3) of part 5 of the mentioned Act, the Central authorities hereby extends the interval of submission of additional report by the mentioned tribunal for an extra interval of 1 12 months with impact from the August 20, 2022,” ministry of jal shakti, further secretary, Debashree Mukherjee mentioned.
The tribunal had requested the Centre to increase the interval of its tenure by one other 12 months for submission of its additional report.
