New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry in a letter to all the States and Union Territories on Wednesday (July 14, 2021) said that gross violation of COVID-19 norms has been observed in many parts of the country including hill stations and asked the concerned authorities to Ensuring compliance of prescribed guidelines.

The R factor refers to the fertility rate which is the number of people infected by an infected person. The Ministry of Health explains the R factor by giving an example. If the value of the R factor is above 1, it means that an infected person can spread the infection to more than one person thereby establishing that the infection is spreading.
